RUAG: leading Bombardier Service in Europe for 30 years – official opening of new customer lounge

In mid September, RUAG Business Aviation in Oberpfaffenhofen (D) celebrated its 30th anniversary as a leading Service Center for Bombardier Business Jets in Europe with customers, partners and guests from business and politics. A new customer lounge was also opened, which is in part designed in the form of a superbly-equipped, modern aircraft cabin. This enhances the customer's stay in the one-stop shop in a luxurious manner.

As an authorised Service Center, RUAG offers a one-stop-shop network of the highest quality at Munich Executive Airport in Oberpfaffenhofen, adapted to meet the respective requirements and accessible at any times. Ulli Gehling, Head of RUAG Business Aviation's Service Center, said of the successful 30-year cooperation with Bombardier: «The team spirit between Bombardier, the customer and RUAG is the success factor which provides best service and customer-oriented solutions».

Bombardier Director Chris Milligan, responsible for all Bombardier Service Centers worldwide agreed with this and emphasised RUAG's entrepreneurial spirit and the companies shared passion to provide the customer with top performance day after day. He pointed out that Bombardier is proud to be able to count on a base such as Oberpfaffenhofen and referred to it as his company's «Center of Excellence in Europe».

New modern customer lounge

On the occasion of the anniversary celebrations, a new customer lounge was launched at Munich Executive Airport in Oberpfaffenhofen. This lounge, in part designed in the form of a superbly-equipped, modern aircraft cabin, offers the customer a high degree of comfort in the event of waiting times and demonstrates once again RUAG's outstanding competence in the area of cabin redesign and development. With List components & furniture GmbH, an interior outfitter for planes, the finest woods and other high quality materials are processed using high- precision production processes to provide an individual decor reflecting different aircraft types. This results in the ideal combination of own competence and customer comfort.

Kalsi Devinder, Director Maintenance of J&P Aviation, highlighted the great time-related flexibility of RUAG's services and the superior commitment of its employees. «RUAG knows our expectations – and fulfils these!», he said. Philipp Berner, CEO RUAG Aviation, promised to continue to generate added value for the customers in the future with top-quality performance.
