ExecuJet Switzerland celebrates 10th anniversary

ExecuJet Switzerland is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year for their facility at Zurich airport. The business began operating as ExecuJet Switzerland in March 2001 with a team of just 20 employees offering business aviation services in Charter, Dispatch, Maintenance Coordination and Aircraft Management. The Zurich facility began operation in the early 90's before ExecuJet's interception in 2001, making it one of the longest standing business aviation companies in Switzerland.

In 2001, ExecuJet managed approximately 15 aircraft at this time, some of which were available for third party charter. Some of the original fleet including a Global Express are still on the managed fleet today. "We have seen the fleet grow significantly in recent years" Stated Cedric Migeon, Managing Director ExecuJet Europe. "At present we are seeing approximately one aircraft per month joining the fleet which I believe is due to the fact that we are a known and trusted company with many years experience in the industry."

IT Manager Hans Germann, who has been with the company since before its interception stated "Everything is a lot quicker now, in the past we had to physically type in every flight request or flight plan. Now much of the daily work can be done automatically on our flight ops system so it is much more time efficient." Technology is not the only change, in 2003 ExecuJet took over the Zurich FBO and saw the business increase significantly with more and more passengers frequenting the facility. "In Zurich we have approximately 600 movements per month, this has grown by about 300% since 2003" continued Migeon.

The opening of ExecuJet Switzerland saw the beginning of vast growth for the European business, ExecuJet now operates nine facilities in London, Berlin, Copenhagen, Moscow, Paris (with Advanced Air Support), Valencia and most recently Ibiza, Palma and Gerona. In Europe there are now around 250 employees throughout the different locations. ExecuJet now manages around 50 aircraft in Europe which pays attribute to the fast growth that the company has seen over the last 10 years.

ExecuJet Europe will be exhibiting at the EBACE Airshow in Geneva from 17th to 19th May at Stand 242.
