Challenger 300 business jet fleet logs over one million hours on HTF7000 engines

Bombardier Aerospace today announced that the Challenger 300 business jet fleet, powered by Honeywell's HTF7000 turbofan propulsion system, has surpassed one million hours of in-flight engine service.

"The Challenger 300 jet has consistently provided operators with top performance and reliability since its entry into service in 2004, and the HTF7000 engine plays a leading role in this success," said Steve Ridolfi, President, Bombardier Business Aircraft. "Durability and performance are key requirements when first choosing an engine for our business aircraft platforms. The HTF7000 clearly performs to the required specifications and has helped make the Challenger 300 jet the market's leading super midsize aircraft. We are extremely pleased to mark this milestone."

The Challenger 300 jet quickly earned a reputation for reliability and dependability. With a dispatch reliability that is consistently over 99.7 per cent, the Challenger 300 jet, along with its HTF7000 engines, is the industry benchmark for super midsize aircraft.

"We continue to invest heavily in new technologies and our engine development programs to satisfy our customers," said Rob Wilson, President, Business & General Aviation, Honeywell Aerospace. "Low emissions were a key construct element when we began designing the HTF7000 nearly ten years ago. We are continually updating our engine technology to address market expectations for low emissions, light weight and high thrust."
