Aerovision spreads its wings with new Le Bourget base and Falcon 50 flying camera

Aerovision is a business and aerial photography airline, based in Toulouse. This year the company has been developing its activities at Le Bourget where it is basing part of its fleet. Later on in 2011, Aerovision will have an aircraft that is unique in Europe: a Falcon 50 specifically certified and modified to carry a pod camera in its airframe.

A growing fleet and a new base open at Le Bourget

Aerovision is now based at Le Bourget, at the centre of the magnificent hangar of its sister company, Advanced Air Support. With all its bases combined, the fleet is now made up of ten aircraft: 2 Falcon 20, 2 Falcon 50, 1 Falcon 900, 1 Falcon 900 EX, 3 Citation II, 1 Beechcraft 200. The other sister company, Star Service, brings the fleet up to 13 aircraft, with 1 Citation CJ3 and 2 Citation CJ1.

A Falcon 50 for film production companies and aviation manufacturers

A Falcon 50 flying camera is joining Aerovision's fleet. The on-board camera, which can be angled and retracted, is placed in a pod under the aircraft. Several movie production companies and aviation manufacturers have already shown a strong interest in this innovative device, with the range and altitude required for air to air images at high speed.

This Falcon 50, certified for Aerial Work, will keep its Public Transport certification and will also be available for business flights. The gyro-stabilised pod and the camera piloting system are easily detached so that the cabin can be converted into a VIP configuration.

Aerovision has put its sister company UniAir, Part 145 maintenance centre, in charge of all the modifications to be made to the aircraft.
