Jet Aviation to triple hangar space in Singapore by adding 6,100 square meter (65,000 sq. ft.) maintenance hangar

Jet Aviation Singapore is planning to build a 6,100 square meter (65,000 sq. ft.) hangar adjacent to its current facilities. The new hangar, currently in the design phase, will have direct access to the tarmac and accommodate up to 5 narrow-body or 6 ultra long-range aircraft.

With the business aviation market in Asia growing steadily, Jet Aviation is preparing to begin construction of a new 6,100 sq. m. (65,000 sq. ft.) maintenance hangar next to its current maintenance and FBO operation in Singapore this fall. The hangar will provide direct access to the tarmac, while the additional hangar space permits up to 5 narrow-body or 6 ultra long-range aircraft. The new Singapore hangar is set to be operational in January 2013.

"We are delighted to expand our capacity to meet increased customer demand in the region," says Sebastian Groeger, senior vice president & general manager of Jet Aviation's Asian Pacific division in Singapore. "This additional hangar space will clearly help us to better accommodate our growing customer base."

"The decision for significant expansion in Singapore was made in direct response to clear signs of further growth in the Asian market," adds Christof Späth, senior vice president MRO and FBO services for Jet Aviation EMEA & Asia. "As our key MRO and FBO location in the Asian Pacific region, this facility expansion serves to strengthen our global MRO network, while demonstrating our commitment to providing our clients the highest quality services, comforts and standards no matter where they fly."
