Hong Kong's Government Flying Service welcomes first H175s

Hong Kong-based Government Flying Service (GFS) has received three H175s in public service configuration, becoming the world's first operator of this new variant which enlarges the H175 mission capacity to search and rescue (SAR), emergency medical services, law enforcement, firefighting as well as land and maritime border control operations.

In 2015, GFS became the launch customer of the public service version of the H175 with an order for seven helicopters. The four remaining helicopters will be delivered before the end of the year.

Reignwood accepts first three Bell 505 helicopters in China

Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc. company delivered the first three Bell 505 Jet Ranger X helicopters destined for the Chinese market during a ceremony held at Bell's facility in Mirabel, Canada. These are the first three aircraft of 110 ordered in 2017 by Reignwood International Investment Group Company Ltd, launch operator and exclusive authorized reseller in China for the 505. This first delivery follows the recent certification of the Bell 505 by the Civil Aviation Administration of China.

"Our team in Mirabel is extremely proud to have built and to deliver the first aircraft to Reignwood," said Cynthia Garneau, president of Bell Canada." This is a very important milestone for Bell in Asia-Pacific and we are thrilled to contribute to the development of the commercial rotorcraft industry in China."

Marubeni Aerospace named HondaJet dealer

Honda Aircraft Company announced today that it has expanded sales to Japan with the appointment of Marubeni Aerospace as HondaJet Japan. HondaJet Japan will provide sales, service, and maintenance of aircraft in the region. In May 2018, the application for JCAB type certification was submitted and the first aircraft is expected to be delivered in the first half of 2019.

Honda has continued to expand its business in motorcycles, automobiles, power products and other areas since its foundation with the goal of "serving people worldwide with the joy of expanding their life's potential." This goal has been fulfilled by Honda Aircraft Company with its further expansion of the aircraft industry.

Air BP expands Australian network

Air BP, the international aviation fuel products and service supplier, has strengthened its Australian network. Following the addition of Bundaberg airport (BDB/YBUD) in Queensland and Busselton airport (BQB/YBLN) in Western Australia in March, the company has now started supplying Jet A-1 fuel at Cloncurry airport (CNJ/YCCY) in Queensland.

The three locations will serve both commercial and general aviation customers and bring the number of Australian airports where Air BP offers refuelling services to 76. Air BP's commitment to delivering the most comprehensive fuelling network in the country is underpinned by its extensive operational experience in Australia and understanding of the need for safe, fit-for-purpose fuelling services at regional airports.

Sino Jet launches Guangzhou operation

On 14th June 2018, Sino Jet Ltd., a leading business and general aviation (BA/GA) operator and part of the Sino Jet Group, held a VIP launch event to signify the opening of its new Guangzhou base. This is the newest office to be opened by the growing operator and adds to its existing bases in Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai. The expansion of the company's presence and investment into the Greater Bay Area of China signifies its confidence in the growth of its aircraft management, charter and high-end tourism businesses. The new office in Guangzhou will be led by Frank De, CEO of Sino Jet Hong Kong and member of the board of governors at AsBAA.

The Greater Bay Area is a city cluster comprising two special administrative regions, Hong Kong and Macau, and nine cities: Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Zhongshan, Dongguan, Zhaoqing, Jiangmen and Huizhou. It has been highlighted as a region for economic growth and development according to the Report on the Work of the Government that was delivered by Li Keqiang, Premier of the State Council of China, at the fifth session of the 12th National People's Congress on 5th March 2017.

TAG Aviation to enter Asian FBO sector

TAG Aviation Asia is set to operate a fixed base operation (FBO) at Macau International Airport. The Hong Kong headquartered operator has agreed to a six-year concession agreement with the Macau airport authority, CAM - Sociedade do Aeroporto Internacional de Macau S.A.R.L., to provide a full-service facility operation, 24/7, at this international destination.

United Rotorcraft receives Chinese approval for B407 aeromed STCs
